Richard is the founder of Tidwell Agency, Inc. He started his career in the insurance business as a field representative for Seibels Bruce Insurance. He then went to work for Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina, where he became Senior Vice President of Companion Life before purchasing a small agency in Batesburg-Leesville, SC, to start The Tidwell Agency in 1981. Richard still resides in the Batesburg-Leesville community today.

Chris grew up in Batesburg-Leesville before graduating from Furman University with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting in 1991. He began his insurance career at The Tidwell Agency and obtained his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) insurance designations. Chris is grateful to have the opportunity to work alongside his father, sister, and daughter every day. He continues to put a high emphasis on furthering his education of the business, and currently serves on the continuing education committee for the Department of Insurance. Chris lives in Lexington with his wife Robin and has three adult children in Greenville, SC, Nashville, TN, and Washington, DC.

Cindy feels blessed to be a part of a family-owned agency that has served the community since 1981, when her father Richard founded the business. As Vice President, she serves as Office Manager, oversees the agency’s day-to-day financial operations, and works closely with commercial clients to meet their insurance needs. She is licensed in both Property & Casualty and Life, Accident, & Health insurance, allowing her to assist clients with a wide range of insurance needs. Outside of work she treasures time with her children and grandchildren, enjoys traveling and making memories with family and friends, and loves the joy that music brings, whether that be singing along or listening to a favorite song.

Jack Holladay has been a Commercial Lines agent with The Tidwell Agency since 2004 and currently works as a Senior Account Executive. He is licensed in both Property & Casualty and Life, Accident & Health, and he holds a South Carolina Surplus Lines Broker license. Jack completed his CIC designation in 2012. He has earned Bachelor’s degrees from both Francis Marion University and the University of South Carolina and a Master’s degree from the University of South Carolina. Jack is also a talented musician who works part time playing and directing music for a local church. He enjoys studying and teaching the Scriptures, mentoring young people, following sports, and working out. Jack and his wife, Brooke, live in the Lexington area.

Frances has been working in the insurance industry since 1986 as a Personal Lines Account Manager. What she enjoys most about her work is getting to know her clients and building relationships with them. She believes insurance is about people first, and takes pride in being someone her clients can count on to provide clear answers and dependable service they can trust. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family and unwinding with a good card game.

Marjorie began at The Tidwell Agency in 2026 after earning her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Data Science from American University in Washington, DC. She is licensed in both Property & Casualty and Life, Accident, & Health insurance. Marjorie strives to find the best fit for her clients and help them understand their coverage. Outside of work, Marjorie enjoys playing with her dog and cat, reading, and spending time with friends.

Carly has been in the insurance industry since 2017 and is licensed in Property & Casualty and Life, Accident & Health insurance. She is often the first person you’ll see when you visit our office and the first voice you’ll hear when you call. Carly helps keep our office running smoothly by supporting our accounting, personal lines, and commercial lines teams. She takes pride in providing dependable service to both our customers and our team. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and their dogs, helping her husband with their family business, and listening to music.

Since 1985, Mickey has enjoyed helping businesses protect what they’ve worked so hard to build. As a Commercial Lines Producer, she is passionate about serving her clients and building relationships that last. Mickey believes that insurance is about more than policies—it’s about understanding each client’s unique needs, being there when they need guidance, and earning their trust every step of the way. When she is not at work, you’ll likely find her teaching a water aerobics class, curled up with a good book, or spending time with friends. She truly enjoys connecting with people, whether it’s helping clients navigate their insurance needs or sharing laughs with family and friends.
